And I hope this space serves you well.

Interiors, fashion, writing, painting, entertaining… really all things creative have been passions of mine for as long as I can remember. Creativity has been a thread running through my life in many forms.

I’m married to my husband, John, and we’re soaking up these early years of parenthood with our darling son, Shep.

Originally from the South, our family spent a memorable season living in New York City before recently returning to settle in Charleston, South Carolina. Here, you’ll find me sharing my love of writing, thoughtful interiors, aspirations, processes, and all the details that make life beautiful.

Late Afternoon came to be years ago, sitting on the couch after dinner in our old home in Jacksonville, Florida. I was trying to think of a name of a brand or publication that one day I might use, that truly felt like me.

My very favorite time of day in the summer is when the sun starts to go down just a touch, you’re freshened up (and a little burnt) after a day at the beach, and you sit to watch a thunderstorm roll in with a good book and a glass of iced tea.

Late Afternoon feels like an exhale.
